Part 3...

28 weeks and it was time to finally take the dreaded glucose test.  Truthfully it wasn't as bad as everyone said it was.  It just tasted like flat orange soda.  I did feel a little sick to my stomach afterwards, but I'm pretty sure I just took a nap and it wore off.  The best part was Corb always drew my blood whenever I needed to have it drawn, so it didn't even hurt.  He's that good!

Here's a fun little story...So the weekend of Mother's day Corb surprised me with something huge!  I always work Saturdays at the salon, and Corb and I had planned on pulling out weeds in our backyard, and planting a garden.  We had talked about it ALL week.  Well I'm nearing the end of my day at work, and first Corb texts me and wants me to pick up a pizza on my way home before we get to weed pulling.   I think nothing of it and was like yeeeah sure.  Well as I'm about the leave the salon, Syd the stylist working the front desk asked me to stay and help stock up the shelves with bumble product.  I wasn't going to say no, so I was like, "uh ok."  I thought it was weird she'd ask me to help out with this kind of thing, but truthfully it wasn't that big of a deal.  So I help out, and then go to pick up our pizza.  Meanwhile I had no idea, but Corb was at home rushing to finish things up.  Well the moment I walked in our house Corb put his hands over my eyes and walked me around the corner.  First thing I noticed was it smelled like wet paint.  I knew he was up to something.  Sure enough he uncovered my eyes and told me to look.  I freaked! He had in one day, moved his office downstairs and turned his old office into our baby boy's nursery!  I was ecstatic, and totally shocked!  I had no idea he had been planning this for days!  For months we had talked about what we were going to do, but just hadn't had the time to actually do it.  He has my entire reaction on camera and it's so great to watch.  He totally surprised me, and it was the best! Come to find out, we didn't really need a pizza...and he'd called the salon and told them to stall and keep me there for as long as possible.  He's the best!

Happy Mother's Day to me!

Next came baby showers...I was totally spoiled!

Pregnancy Memories

I remember ALWAYS needing to pee.  I was bad before I was pregnant, and it only got worse.  I got up between 4-6 times a night to pee.  BIGGEST waste of time, and totally annoying when you were barely getting enough sleep anyway.  I was never comfortable lying down.  I would always shove a pillow underneath my tummy so it wasn't just hanging there.  I tried to run as much as I could, but truthfully by the time I was 5 months along I would barely make it around the block and have to pee.  The most annoying part was it was only like a teaspoon, I should have just peed my pants...haha

I had braxton hicks contractions a lot.  I remember just standing there cutting hair and all of a sudden my tummy would tighten up.  Craziest thing ever.  I guess by the end I had gotten pretty used to it.  Oh, and by the end of my pregnancy my belly was literally like a shelf for hair.  I'd be cutting hair, and it would have no where else to fall but my tummy.  Talk about annoying.  It wasn't until after I had Greyson and came back to work that I realized how nice it was being able to stand close to the chair again.  I had become accustomed to standing a good foot and a half farther away than usual.

Cutting Corb's hair...

Check out my belly...it was definitely out there...

I gained a whopping 35 pounds.  Kind of hard to believe.  I did feel like a whale though, and looking back at pictures I may have also kind of looked like one too.  I didn't realize how much fuller my face got.  Haha.  It was definitely poofy, and so were my calves and feet.

Yikes...

Where are my ankles?

I LOVED feeling him move.  It totally freaked me out the first time I saw him kick inside and my belly moved.  I'm pretty sure I jumped.  He was constantly having hiccups, and they lasted for quite some time.  Corb loved feeling him move.  It was always so fun for me to watch Corb and see how excited he got.  He was always holding my belly or resting his head on it.  It was really cute.  Corb was always encouraging me to wear belts around the upper part of my belly, because he loved how it accentuated my growing belly.  Haha

Notice the belt...

I didn't have any crazy cravings, but certain food items you wouldn't typically put together sounded good.  During my first trimester I'm pretty sure Corb walked in on me eating mac and cheese with salt and vinegar chips.  Random? uh yeeeah...  I also really liked BBQ sauce.  I combined it once with sour cream to dip my quesadilla in.  Just a little strange.  The only other thing I guess you could say I craved was red cream soda.  I LOVED it.  I even know what gas stations have it available for a fountain drink.  It is much harder to come by.  I had a few weeks where I craved cinnamon rolls, and cookies.  Hopefully next time around I'll crave healthy things.

and of course...my Red Cream from the Holiday on Center...

End of 2011...until now 2013...(Part 2)

Once we found out we were having a little boy, it all started to seem more real. The next few months seems to cruise by soo fast.  I continued to work full time at the Salon and Corb stayed busy with school and work.  We took a quick vacation to Colorado during April when I was about 6 months and spent some time with my Aunt and Uncle who live down there.

My Uncle is the Stake President, and we
were visiting the new stake center that's in
construction.

So beatiful.  You can't tell, but I'm ultra prego!

Little Swiss town.

My Aunt makes amazing food!

Isn't this the cutest salad you've ever seen?
