Australia!...and random..:)

I'm sure many of you already know, but Ryan got his call to serve in the Melbourne, Australia Mission!  He will be speaking Vietnamese, and leaves June 22nd!  I could hardly believe it when he read aloud AUSTRALIA....I was seriously like, "Excuse me, what?!"  I got even more wide-eyed when he read that he would be speaking Vietnamese!  CRAZY!  He's just my little brother, I can hardly believe that he just turned 19.  He's going to be an excellent missionary.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to get more photos to upload:(.  Corb is working tonight, so I can't ask him what to do.  I'm not very savvy when it comes to figuring out computers.

Corb and I have both been very busy lately, and it seems it is only going to get busier.  For the most part we enjoy being busy, time flies.  I swear the week just begins, and just as quick as it begun it's already ending.  Corb recently got a new job in phlebotomy at Utah Valley Hospital.  He is really enjoying it, and learning a lot.  Most of his shifts are 12.5 hour night shifts, which has definitely been a change for both of us.  Maybe more for me, in that I have become so accustomed to being together in the evenings that I've struggled a little bit:)  It's been a good thing though, as soon as it starts to get a little warmer I would love to get back into running that way I used to be.  As soon as we got married, I stopped making time for that, and have found that I really miss it.  I'm not sure how Corb manages to figure out his sleeping schedule.  I don't think I could do it, I love my sleep too much.

The next few months should be a lot of fun as it warms up.  Corb's family has a tradition to go to California for a week in the summer.  His grandma gets a beach house there for a few months, and everyone heads down.  We're all taking the trip a little early this year.  We are headed out the end of May  through the beginning of June.  My family is trying to squeeze in a Lake Powell trip before Ry leaves.  So, hopefully we can also make that happen.  Corb and I should be moved into our new place within this next week.  We're really excited:)
Ry Ry's Birthday Dinner at Carrabas!

Haha!  Cute little kid between our heads.

Yeeeah. He looks a bit scary.  He did an excellent
job painting though!

HaHa! His hair is out of control.  Mine is too:)

Ryan is opening his call tonight!!!

I'm dying! It doesn't even seem real yet, he's still just my little brother.  I cannot believe how fast time flies by.  I guess my dad was right when he said, "Oh you just wait, you'll graduate high school and when you look back it will all seem like a blur."  I remember this time last year, and found myself always joking with my family that it was looking like I'd end up waiting to get married until Ry got back.  I had always had a year dating rule or a 4 seasons rule.  Clearly that rule meant nothing to me, seeing as I got engaged 7 weeks after Corb and I started dating...yeeeah.  But hey, when it's right it's right.  Anyway, that was always such a concern for me, and little did I know I would end up being married before he left.

In just a few hours he's going to open his call.  I wish I had some sort of an idea where he might be going, but I have no clue.  He was told he won't be going anywhere 3rd world, because of an eye condition he has.  To me, that's actually a relief.  Corb is crossing his fingers he goes spanish speaking.  Who knows?!

Black Eyed Peas and Green Drink...?

So yesterday morning I woke up to Corb blasting Black Eyed Peas...Haha I got up pretty fast, and like most mornings we made what we call our Green Drink.  It's not all greens, there is no way I could stomach that.  Corb has pretty much mastered it, so it tastes pretty sweet.  We have been making them for almost a month now, and have really enjoyed them.  We both end up with about 32 ounces, so it's really filling.  It's a concoction of an orange, kiwi, banana, grapes, lots of spinach, kale, frozen fruit from costco, carrots, olive oil, honey, and a handful of vitamins.

1st Post, and New York!

Did I mention I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing...? Haha, this could be interesting.  Hmmm, well I have been talking to Corb about how I wanted to start a blog, I just didn't know when I really ever would.  I've always had fun looking at everyone else's, I just kinda felt silly having one of my own.  Today is the day I guess.  I had been cleaning our house all morning, when I got bored and decided to give this a shot.  I got myself a can of diet coke, and sat down.  Now, I won't tell you how exactly how long it has taken me to get to actually posting my first post.  I spent a ridiculous amount of time playing with the design of the blog, and you'll probably find it will continue to change.  I can't seem to figure out how to get the "Corb & Steph" title moved a little over so it's not right across Corb's forehead.  Haha!

Today is my day off, and I've spent most of the day cleaning and doing some laundry.  When I say some, I actually mean a lot.  We got home from New York about a week ago, and I swear everything smells like NY.  Scarves, hats, gloves, things I didn't even wear.  Don't know how that happens, but it did.  Corb served his mission in New York and we had been wanting to go, but never had a good excuse.  Well one of his converts who he has stayed in close contact with was getting married.  So, we decided with little notice to make it work.  I was able to move around some clients, and we took a red-eye out.  I was a little shell shocked when we first got on the subway.  Growing up in Utah County...well I'm sure you can imagine.  I'd like to think I'm not that naive, but turns out I totally am.  We spent four days there, and were going non-stop.
Bumble and Bumble Tour!
On the cleaner/newer subway.
